I eventually am 100% getting a tune from btoretto , he’s been so responsive on IG and hasn’t even sold me anything yet. Once I’m done adding tires and a turbo after this winter I’ll be making use of his tune for sure. I have seen the difference from him and his teams results and it’s crazy.

In the meantime how can I run a less embarrassing time?!

No because I assume it’s some kind of skill issue but maybe not lol. I am no seasoned racer but with launch control you just mash and don’t let go. Plus the car is running good and feels strong. I’d love to try bm3 but it’s a solid expense to switch to what should be a very similar tune. I’d love to do a comparison but not the expense lol

2019 540xi - BM3 custom tune and VRSF catted Downpipe on 93 pump gas

launches hard, but trap speed seems lowish, car feels like its top end isn't as good, probably due to stock fuel pump? Not planning to go further with this car as its a daily driver, but maybe just a fuel pump?

What tires and temp?

I want to see if it’s just me or if MHD guys are getting smoked by bm3 on the same car/mods.

I’m getting terrible times on the MHD stage 2+ ots tune for some reason.

Temp you can see above as 6C the cold definitely helps the engine. I was on my summer goodyear eagles (stock 20s). The temp actually made it harder to launch as I was spinning 4 times on most attempts. Even this one I got a bit of a chirp.

I dont know if there is a difference, but might be hard to compare custom dyno tune to OTS. I've never tried/run the OTS BM3 tunes. One factor that might be helping me is the custom dyno tune is dialed in for the 93 shell pump gas I'm running, whereas the OTS tunes probably leave headroom for bad fuel?

Happy to say it was a draggy issue (on my end).

This is OTS MHD stage 2+ so just downpipe and the TU pump. Stage 3 xhp OTS.

Ran my stock 2021 M550i with a JB4 in Map 1. Not much difference with map 2. Running around 10% ethanol with a BP 98 fuel blend (Australian). Pretty avarage weather, 1100ft DA and 88% humidity.

Best time of 11.295 @ 123mph. Would like to try down pipes and a full exhaust but I think the DME needs reprogramming otherwise the CEL/MIL will come on and throw an error code.

Anyone who who does the DME unlocks other than Femto?
