I had the same concern when I was buying it. Will this color stand the test of time is the big question. I think it's much nicer than some of greys offered by other manufactures. BMW did a great job on this one. I hope it can be matched if I ever get into a fender bender.
I think it's a great color. I also like the Brooklyn grey metallic the 2 series has.

I have had white a lot, now bluestone that I love but the only other color I like is this. Was planning on ordering a car but now buying out My lease.

I’ll re polish it and re coat it with IGL Kenzo and
It will look new. Really enjoy the color or the car.

People continually ask if it’s gray or blue ?

Just finished installing xpel film strip on my rear bumper upper surface, which came out pretty good, except for 2 parking sensors maybe the remainings of soap water will dry out underneath and it will look better..
I was curious, are there companies, who cut and sell Xpel film for different models? I wouldn't mind attempting installing those pre-cut films myself to cover my front end. 5K miles and some small chips showing up already.

So you went over the sensors? I could have sworn mine are cut out?

What about dealer installed quarter panels and rear wheel arches, those are never wrap around?

Here's my thought.. you've got a brand new $70k+ car (540 right?), so why not just bite the bullet and have a pro do it? I think the value proposition makes sense (relative to our lack of sense) for a new 5.

Mine is a lease, I don't see spending $4k on partial car PPF for 2.5 years reasonable..

Gotcha. I've never leased, so it just doesn't occur to me. My bad. I agree with you.

Also didn't mean to sound like a smart ass. Reading it back, I can see where one may read that into the comment.

Those should be wrapped around the edges as well. My car has a full front PPF. The fenders are completed wrapped. For example where it meets the door, it's wrapped around and under the edge where it meets the door. The arches are the same. They don't start with pre cut pieces. They put a big sheet on and smooth, heat, and tuck. There only a few pieces where it's surface only, like the cerium gray fender vents. If you were to open my hood you would see the xpel coming around the edge of the front bumper and wrapping under. Same for the hood.

Now seeing that you lease and you seem to have no interest in buying it, there is no f'ing way I put a dime into XPEL. One of the pluses of leasing for me in the past is I don't feel attached to the car so I don't get as OCD and out of control on just about everything because I don't feel attached. Read - time and money suck avoided.

Lol it's all good I still have an OCD about keeping my cars in perfect condition for the duration of the lease term. I would, per say, spend up to $1000 to cover the most affected areas, which will require some manual labor at that price
