Wheel bend
Took my 2021 m550 in for a flat in April 2021 (car had 4 stock pilot super sport, non run flat), dealership replaced the flat with pss run flat tire by mistake. I brought my car in this week for an oil change, it was pointed out to me now three of the four tires have slight wheel bend. The only wheel without wheel bend is the wheel that had the incorrect tire for the past three months.
Dealership is replacing incorrect tire free of charge, but charging $150/wheel to fix the wheel bend. Could the wheel bend have been caused by the dealership putting the incorrect tire on my car (mixing run flat with non run flat)? I am thinking that dealership should fix the wheel bend free of charge. Thanks in advance. |

Can't see how a tyre can damage the wheel in any way other than a large pothole
The wheels are designed to take either type of tyre surely? Sure run flat with stiffer sidewall will transmit more force through if you hit say a pothole Mmmmm |

Its hard to prove the correlations between incorrect tire and bent wheels. I hear some of these 550 wheels, especially performance wheels are prone to bend, sorry.
