You could well be right DB_BMW. The other possibility is that the LC program allows additional boost and therefore torque to build and remain held vs just brake boost W/ LC off. I suspect the TCU tune for LCI models is probably a while off as it’s only niche Russian outfits I can see offering much.

Carbahn Controller for 2021 M550ix.
I see Carbahn has a controller for the 2021 M550ix.
https://carbahnautoworks.com/product...-m550i-xdrive/ Is this the first and only tuning available for the 2021's? |

Did another experiment tonight, traction off and brake boost with no LC. Squeaked out a cheeky ten second run! 60ft and 0-60 are slower but the gears hold till redline so the 1/4 mile is faster. If the gearbox when using LC behaved correctly, on a prepped track this thing is running 10.8 or less.

Where this LCI offer (where they don't have a flash available) is.. "Performance Controller Stage 1" that is a plug and play ECU that gets LCI models to 637 hp/717 torque. I don't know where this fits exactly compared to a flash tune and a piggy back. Seems it's neither.. are they saying it replaces your ECU? Also, the torque is higher on 93 octane but HP way less than their pre-LCI flash tune. Anyone got more info or have thoughts on this and what it means/how it compares?

I didn't realize the JB4 would work with a 2021. I guess previous comments about the ECU being locked by BMW don't apply to these gizmos.

Reading through, current status looks like:
-BMW has the software fix for performance - doesn't appear to be available over the air yet, dealer only - can someone who's done the dealer upgrade tell me: can you see/tell by version number somewhere if the update has been applied? Thanks, |
