Installed new wheels.

I just installed my new wheels. They are 20" Avante Garde M520-R with 20x9 et25 front and 20x10.5 et38 rear with 245/35 and 285/30 Yokohama Advan Sport A/S+ tires. Those are the size and offset that many have recommended on the forums. What do you think? I'm getting used to the look. I've never had wheels and tires this flush and aggressive before. Should I eventually lower the car?

any thoughts on the fitment? This is my first time with custom offset wheels. I'm still not sure if the fitment is what it's supposed to look like for aggressive flushness. Is it too much?

If they don't rub, they fit. There isn't really a 100% answer. Do you like to look? It's your car, so if you like it, who cares what others think.

I'd love to see a 20/21 inch ( rear) setup if there are any out there?

I'm going through the same thing. I ordered 20x9 and 20x0.5 on a 540i. I'm trying to decide on offset, going with 255/35 and 295/30.

Since I'm not lowering the car, I may stick with +30 or 32 up front and +42 or 44 in the rear.

Hmmm...something looks off and I can't put my finger on it. It almost looks like the fronts are bigger in size than the rears. In terms of lowering, I actually thought it already was lowered. I'm just not a fan of the wheel itself I think. Sorry!

I think it looks really nice and you shouldn't lower it if that's your choice. I would of went with a 295 30 rear tire.

I'm convinced the 5 series would look perfect in 20/21 setup but I have yet to see anyone do it.

OP - I have been having the exact same thoughts on my spec...

20x9 et25 - 255/35/20
20x10.5 et35 - 285/30/20

Looks good!. I Just purchased the same rim today, but in gloss black for my white M550i. I ran with 20 x 9 in the front and 20 x 10 in the rear.

Are those gun metal or gloss black?

I originally had Continental Dws06+ 255/35 and 295/30 installed but they looked too meaty and stuck out too far. It might have just been that tire but it didn't look good at all. Switching to 245 and 285 looks way better and sportier. That's the recommended tire sizes also from Getyourwheels.com and the place that milled the wheels.

they are gun metal or dark graphite metallic they call it. I wanted something different than the go to black plus it's dark enough and I think it goes good with the cerium grey trim. Later down the road I could always get them powder coated a different color

I was informed 255/35-20 and 295/30-20 would be an ideal tire set-ups for the xDrive system. Incorrect setups could impact the xDrive system down-the-lane (I.e. xDrive error). As well, my aftermarket wheels offset are (F) ET32 and the (R) is ET45.

If I were to lower my car pictured above, would the wheels tuck in more at the top a noticeable amount?

Are you talking about camber? If so, when you lower the car, it will camber a little, but I don't think it will be the amount you are looking for.

Would I be able to lower the car without rubbing with this spec?

It depends how much you lower it. It looks really nice the way it sits now. You could lower maybe 1-2 inches more, but I would roll the rear fender a little bit just in case.

Does your car have rear-steer? You might want to know that before trying to tuck the tires up in the arches.

so you think the stance with the offset and ride height looks fine?

I sure do. Kind of like Goldilocks, not too high, not too low, and the wheels and tires look pretty flush. That's just my opinion though, at the end of the day it's your car and you should do what makes you happy.

A good point was brought up about rear steer, you might have issues if you lower it more with rear steering.

I share the feeling. Nearly same size/offset (10.5"ET40) on my car, and I think it's too agressive. That said, most people will not notice, and many like the agressive look. So, in the end, why not?

I would not lower the car, I think it's perfect like this.

You could consider having the rear camber adjusted at max negative recommended value by BMW, but I don't know if it would make a big difference.
