Service package

Anyone buy this for £399? Not only is it for just 3 years now, but doesn't include the brake fluid service.

So for low milers it's just the one service in 3 years. Not worth it?

Has the price changed? Pretty sure I paid £450 for min back in July 2017. Think for the mileage I do I will get one service and one brake fluid check done - pretty sure that's included in mine but if the price has gone down that may be why the brake fluid check is no longer included.

I thought I read here somewhere that a service not going through this scheme was quite expensive so might worth a check to see how much it would be outside of this scheme.

Got it as part of the deal. Although brake fluid change is set at 3 years (then 2 years thereafter. I find that strange) I'm pretty sure you can get the brake fluid done before 3 years is up. So book the car in just before as usually there is a leeway before and after a due date or mileage figure.

Unless you can get it thrown in with the car I wouldn't pay for the service pack. Had it on my old F10 when it was for 5 years servicing, that was worth it, didn't see the point with the 3 year one. I'm a pretty low mileage user.

I got it as i thought it was an oil change/service per year. Seems its dictated by the computer and you can only have it serviced when the car tells you. In my case as a low mileage driver, my first service is showing to be due only after 2 years from collection. I think there is an inspection included at the end of the 3 years.
Not sure its particularly good value in my case

I'm relatively high mileage about 13.5k a year. On my F10 in 3 years got through two oil services of which second included micro filter change and brake fluid change just before end of 3 years. So worth it in my opinion.

I was offered pack at £399 in December 2017 and that's the price today. They keep chopping and changing what's included. On this deal the brake fluid is def not included although the SA said it was until I suggested she checked.

https://www.bmw-service.co.uk/service_packs

So as to service intervals, your I drive will tell you when it's to be expected. For me it's 2 years from new (£376), then the brake fluid (not included) and then after 4 from new a big service (£500+). They're also the mot at an unbelievable £80+.

So on raw figures alone its either £399 or £376. Of course the service pack is a good fixed price against inflation of the service prices. On the other hand our dealership does special 4 year plus pricing

Confusingly the inspection is the mot!

I also had the 5 year plan on E91. Great value for the customer but not for BMW. That's why they dropped the length.

Definitely not worth it for me at 20k miles per year. Oil service required at 19k miles and inspection at 37k miles. So a £399 for 36k miles and 3 years service pack gets me precisely 1 oil service. An oil service at my local dealer costs £370. Go figure.

I can see where you're coming from. However wouldn't the 19k miles for a oil service be sooner depending on style of driving? It may say 19k to next service but seems to do drop earlier as it counts down. From my experience on the F10 my oil service comes in about 16k even though it might be higher at the start. You can also book car in with less than 1k to go on the indicator. Just my thoughts but 3 years is right on the border compared to the previous 5 year package.

My F10 was always between 18.5 & 19k miles between oil services. Mainly motorway miles. No reason for the G30 to be any different. But you can buy the service pack anytime before the 1st service is due, so if it starts to come down to significantly less than 18k, I can decide then.
