M5 vs 5er - different climate controls?

I noticed that the M5 has a different looking climate control display than the regular 5 series. The M5 has an actual display of the seat and where the air is blowing, in addition to a different looking cooled/heated seat display.

Was just something interesting I noticed as I thought the climate controls would go unchanged between the 2 cars.

The M5 comes with the 4-zone climate control; in addition to the display difference up front, the rear left and right side passenger have individual climate options with a different control deck as well.

Just checked through some guides and the build site, and it doesn't look like an option at all for the US, outside the M5. Other markets are able to order 4-zone as an option.

I am
In Australia and have purchased a 540i with 4 zone climate and hope to get the colour display shown in the M5 pic. The demo car I borrowed was only 2 zone climate and it also had the fancy colour display.

I think all 540i in Australia come with the colour display as standard now ( late MY18). I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong

I would love to see if we could retrofit this in the US. I don’t need the 4 zone climate but would love the updated display. This, as well as the ability to control the passenger seat from the drivers side are things that I would love to cross over from the 7 series.

I saw it mentioned in another post that it is possible to order 4 zone climate in the US(it’s not listed anywhere as an option). I asked my CA to see if it was possible to add as an option to my build, he said “it shouldn’t be a problem”. We’ll see.
