From what I have read I don't believe it's possible on the g30. No option for it.

Or you can just leave the light switch I'm dipped position. They will switch off with the ignition.

Rear DRL? what are those? there are tail lights and you don't need eSys to turn those on there is a convenient switch on the dash.

I join Paul666 with this question (and desire )!

Canuck99 - with Light Switch in Auto position we would like to have our tail lights to be on when front DRL are on!

(= no need to change Switch position and we can be seen quicker during the day by other drivers approaching from our back - not to mention how nice these LED lights look like )

Yes unlike the f10 from what I have read it is not possible in the g30.

I assume there won't be in future now that headlights come automatically now ( at least in U.K.) even if the switch is in the '0' position.

There are itching forums around but not sen a thing to suggest there is even the option to configure this

Not for the rear DRL but you can code to configure front DRL to be actually turned off when the switch is in zero position.

I do not know much about coding at all but there is this option in Bimmercode that allows you to put a checkbox on Idrive which will turn DRL on and off.

just found this, applies to the latest software on the 3 apparently
so might be an option if you have ID7 lite on your recent 5 and perhaps there in the LCI 5

I've done some coding but can't get Rear DRL to work. Enabled it on my M2. I don't understand why it's not a standard setting on all cars!

Hey Almaretto !

Do you know if its possible to FDL code the tail lights to be on as DRL similar to the LCI G30?

if so, how would this be done?

Thanks in Advance

There is option in BDC LIC_Feature and MGU Daytime_Running_Rear (or something like that)

EDIT: Not sure it is possible on pre-LCI
