G30 M550 Resonator Delete Options

What options do I have for deleting the resonators on the G30 M550? I saw that there is essentially a "x pipe" by Dinan i believe to replace the resonators but it's over $1,000 and that's silly lol. Anyone else make one that's not robbery ? Custom exhaust shop might be the answer but wanted something a little nicer.

Ive been considering having a local muffler shop remove both resonators, but havent done it as of yet. Worried about drone.

Loads of threads with photos of everyone's custom X pipes in here. Do a quick search.

If I had to bite a bullet, I would love to bite that one. It will sound great.

OP: after having had my fill of researching this topic, I decided on a full resonator delete w/muffler shop generic x-pipe mated to Dinan axle-back on my '22 M550i; should have my car back in the next day or two (will post a review then).

I've had unbranded custom shop exhausts (from turbo-back to just exhaust tips to everything in between) on nearly all my cars over the years. Very rarely went with a name brand for anything other than the actual mufflers because "pipes be pipes..."; a skilled exhaust tech with a mandrel can do as good a job (if not better) than most expensive brand names...

This is what I did. Cost $200 for a stainless x-pipe etc.

My only suggestion is locate the x-pipe where one of the resonators was in case you want to put one back if.when you go catless downpipes.

Yup, same page (designing the entire setup so as to easily revert to stock when lease is up). From the forums, looks like the ideal x-pipe location is where the 2nd resonator is (closest to rear of the car).
