Good answer. I would expect the 7 to 12 days from done to on a boat. I think clearly understanding if it has left the factory is key. Don't worry, you still get to wait another two weeks while it is on boat.....
For figuring out which boat, just call BMW Genius. |

I'm right behind you guys... My car released to carrier (to get to Bremerhaven) yesterday, 2/8/18. Hopefully I'll get lucky and get on a boat quick!

Anyone know if the free tracking sites update the GPS position of the boat? My boat shows no update since Tuesday!

Personally, I haven't bothered. My thinking is that because I know when the boat is scheduled to be at the various ports along the way I will just check back in around those dates and see where it is. I'm a little obsessive about tracking. But not THAT obsessive... |

Horizon Highway has made it to the US coast and GPS is available on the free sites. It has to stop in Baltimore today and then Brunswick GA by Monday. More waiting......but close.

Is it there yet? Is it there yet? Is it there yet?
The Morning Charlotte cleared the Panama canal last week. I was only able to get a picture of its stern as it cleared the Gatun Locks. What a fascinating modern age we live in that we can track these cars so well, and for free! Looking forward to pics of your new ride next week! |

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure I got a pic of the Morning Charlotte...I was very busy the day it was going through the canal. So I didn't have time to keep tabs on the cameras. That said, the upper right of the attached image is a blue and white RORO at the locks. The Morning Charlotte is a blue and white RORO. The weird part is that the image appears to be of the stern of the vessel. But I think the camera is pointed at the Atlantic side of the locks. So it would be weird for the Morning Charlotte to be headed into the Atlantic. Like I said, not 100% sure. But I'm pretending it is! |

Actually, I'm 100% sure that is NOT the Morning Charlotte: The stern of the Morning Charlotte has two separate observation "areas" to the port side of the ramp. The blue and white RORO in my picture has only one. For comparison, images of the Morning Charlotte: http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/...NG%20CHARLOTTE I'm still going to claim it's the Morning Charlotte when I show the picture to people! |

For the Horizon Highway, I found this map of their route:
http://www.kline.co.jp/en/service/ca...UNDSERVICE.pdf It seems like this carrier is handling the east coast deliveries in to Baltimore and Brunswick. I have not been able to find VIN tracking for this carrier like the official tracking guide on this forum suggest for other carriers. |

Congrats! Only offloading, customs, VPC, and surface transport to go! You'll have it this week for sure!
My boat is "off the grid" again...it's probably somewhere off Baja at this point. It should get to the port near Los Angeles on Thursday morning. Hopefully it will get to me before the end of the month... |

Do you really think it will be here by Saturday? That is what 4.5 days? Everywhere I read says 7 days. Are they just being way too conservative? I have conditioned myself to expect it will take longer than the estimates.... |
