European Delivery questions

I purchased 2 5 series and a 7 series through ED from 2011 to 2015 and used these forums for alot of the information. I dont see anywhere near the amount of info that used to be here on doing ED the right way etc. Did bmw kill off the benefit of the program? Is it still the best way to get a deal on a bmw? Used to be 7% off the dealers invoice price and you basically paid 500 to 1k over that depending on how hot the car was. And there were tons of people doing it and posts about it all over. The guy who sold them to me was named Adrian Avila and worked at bmw of south atlanta but he no longer works there. Looking to get an M550 ordered this summer. Thanks for any info.

A lot less people doing ED because discount is better if you just bargain would be my impression (with rebate and everything I was about 11-12% off msrp on a ordered 540)

Man thats what im targeting lol. With ED discount my price was usually right in the middle of that range. If I could get that off a new m550 would be thrilled with or without ED. Like an idiot though i let my bmwcca membership expire. Who did you go through to get that off?

I'm in northeast, I had 3 dealer (2 up state ny, 1 in nyc), the one in nyc was willing to match and do slightly better, so was an easy conversation in the end.

If you can get something from the lot they're usually always willing to deal, my case was, there was something in the lot kind close enough to what I want but not exactly and I told the guy to keep same discount but on order car instead. He couldn't do that, but turn out pretty close and I took that to nyc dealer who match and slightly beat.

I guess you just need a lot competition in general no matter what...

BMWCCA+financing rebate which is $2k (I financed minimal amount, like $7.5k, I was going to pay cash, but saw the financing incentive, just going to prepay in the 4th month)

edit: financing rebate is $2k, BMWCCA was $1k?

I just ordered a 540, for me the European Delivery option would have been about ~$2000 more than domestic delivery, but if you are thinking about an M550 it could be different. With regards to the BMWCCA rebate, if you renew for 3 years I think you can get the rebate without having to wait 1 year--I'm doing this for my car

Go for ED Invoice Plus

I just negotiated my July ED for an M550, and was able to get two dealers to agree to invoice price on the ED Base and options, with $1,000 dealer profit thrown in. My negotiated price was 88.98% of MSRP, so right at 11% savings.

Sadly, we don't get any lease or financing deals with ED, so invoice + is the best you're going to get. Plus, of course, the BMWCCA $1,000 rebate.

I inquired about doing ED on my M550 I ordered In February.
Bottom line is it would have been a lot more expensive, as my dealer said I would loose a lot of the discounts they were giving me. (I ended up around $8,500 below MSRP)

Out of fairness to the CAs I worked with, I'd rather not broadcast that, but you can PM me.

Could you ballpark the msrp to get an idea what % you got off?
