Engine temp

Having three previous BMWs, But now a new 550, I just thought it interesting that the main temp guage is now water, not oil. You can get oil temp in the iDrive sport display.

Has anyone tried the hidden menu, on the assumption it exists, like in idrive 6 you may be able to display both on the dashboard at the same time

hidden menu as in quickly triple tap the start button
into ignition on and press the trapezoid button?
