How do you buy out lease ?

I probably have a year left on my lease , but love my 2021 540 and will probably buy it if these car prices continue to stay elevated. I really love the car, color(Bernina grey), options , and minimal mileage so far like 8k. 76k msrp so fully loaded for the most part for a 540.

If I choose to buy it out at lease end I probably won't want to pay cash. How do you get the financing at lease end ? Do I just go to local bank and tell them I want a car loan for 44k or whatever and they cut a check to bmw ? Is it as Simple as that ?

Yes
That simple.

With the way the financial markets are at the moment, have a good look around to get the best deal you can.

Also sometimes bmw has financing deals for certain year/models and you get a 1-1.5% loyalty to do it through bmw. Might worth waiting closer to the end of your lease.

I heard that before Covid there were usually lease buyout deals every now and then when you entered last 12 months of your lease. It could be $5k or $3k incentives. But I don't know if that still exists today with current market.

I took a loan from the credit union and paid off the lease. Interest was low enough last June it made sense.
