Is this normal? I know there's fewer ships to the west coast, but from what BMW Genius is saying, it doesn't usually take this long, but they don't know why it hasn't left yet.

Does anyone remember how long their car was sitting at the port?

Yes. Just received my car 540i Msport on Weds the 16th.

I ticked alot of boxes to my build but my only "add on" was Mperformance exhaust.

Not sure if this got installed in Germany , before leaving port or in Brunswick at their port in states.

My car sat at port for for 8 days then upon arrival in Brunswick, Ga it set for 10 days.. I called the port, Genius and local dealer I ordered from..no explanations.. in short it sucked about a 10 week total from build to delivery. But car is here, just what I wanted and sotto g in my garage.


I now have it scheduled for tint, adding carbon rear spoiler but first painting it Bluestone to color match before install wrapping diffuser in gloss black and adding gloss black 540i rear emblem and calling it a wrap.

Worth the wait, it's just a gamble on your wait!

Hope it ships and arrives quicker than mine.. patience good sir !

I went Bluestone Metallic Ivory Nappa with Grey poplar trim. 20"Msport, Msport Brakes, MPE, executive and some other goodies. What did you order ??

My 540i sat at the port in Bremerhaven for 14 days before it finally got on a ship, so I would not worry too much.

It just arrived in Port Hueneme two days ago.

My car is on a boat and has just left Germany!

If anyone is wondering, the car completed production on the 14th, reached the port by the 16th, and left today, the 30th.

I feel your pain

My custom build completed may 30th
And was released to carrier (June 1) to transport to port

I hope to get on boat ASAP!

Thanks! Unfortunately my dealership has some pretty stupid business hours for picking up the car, so I can't actually pick it up until the weekend.
