Can't be the rear bumper design, as it is standard in Canada as ex-Mini has said. I suppose you meant the front bumper... why would you need one, aren't you looking in that direction anyway?
Lol. Yes I mean the front bumper. My garage is very tight. I could really use the front camera or censors.

The pricing for the 2017 M2 should be released in a few weeks. The 2 series 2016 pricing and ordering guide was released on the forum May 29 last year.

Use the old tennis ball hanging from a string trick - when it touches the windshield... stop!

Lol. That's not my problem. It's the width.

OK. Just heard from my SA that I am definitely a MY2017 (in the system) now, and BMW will NOT honour MY2016 pricing for MY2017 deliveries (despite the signed order being a MY2016). We are going to have a serious talk once they find out what that actually means in terms of $, coverage and options... and it will not be a happy talk.

He doesn't know what the increase will be yet (likely BMW AG has not set it, or at least not told dealers), but I would guess a minimum of CPI increase (~$1K)... as well as whatever changes in coverage come with MY2017. I will keep you posted when I hear something more firm - though others on here will likely hear before I do.
Nothing you can do about it just like the rest of us. It will be what it will be. If you don't like the new pricing, the next guy in line will. BMW does not price protect between model years.

Some dealers in Vancouver now have a two year wait list. My dealer won't hold to 2016 prices for a 2017MY. They said they have no control over what BMW Canada does. I am July production, so likely will feel the hit of any price increase.

Yeah, I get that it is out of our control. I also get that BMW is either clusterf*cking the launch or deliberately constraining production numbers and we get to pay for it. So I don't have to like it.

The car was released on 4/16/16. The first builds have come of the line and are on boats. How is that constraining production? And now we are getting updates "only" 2 weeks" later...

Have you ever ordered an M car before? Ordered any car? It takes time. Not all dealers are the same some don't get as many or any allocations some months.

Thank you for the condescending attitude. Yes I have ordered a car before.

I didn't realize some cars had been produced and shipped. I guess I was wrong... everything is going grrreat!

The 2018 rear camera standard is interesting because it only requires the manufacturers to offer them as standard on a certain percentage of cars in 2018. I think I remember reading a really low number like 10% they have something like 4 years to make them standard on all cars. It makes no sense to me why BMW doesn't make them standard on all cars, they are a premium brand so it should be standard.

Some speculation, some hearsay, nothing substantiated as fact. Still waiting for someone with real substantiated info.
Breaks or clutches won't be included in the service program so yes, a price increase over the life of ownership

With the M240 at 369 TQ I wouldn't be surprised if BMW does tweak this M2 for MY 2017 to have slightly higher numbers than the base M240.
Maybe adding the option of a comp package that ups the output like the M4...

If they are going to do that, they better get going and announce it, because the 2017 MY is right around the corner.

My guess is that something like an engine bump won't be coming until mid-cycle...

Yep even Honda includes it in all cars now.

I would be surprised as a tweeking of a proportional increase in power would involve a hardware change if they want to maintain their safety margins. Further, that would bring the M2 closer to the M4. So aint happening until the M2 gets the B58 variant.

Thanks! It will just make sense that BMW keeps the same MSRP between MY16 & MY17, since only a few MY16 will be made (but then again, does BMW makes any sense, that's another story).

I recently discovered after putting my deposit down and being promised by my dealer that the price would be the $61k msrp even though mine will be a 2017 MY is that there is a price increase and it will now be $63,000 for 2017 M2's.
