550 Drivers Seat Issue
I have a 2021 550 and I am experiencing a loud coil or popping sound when I get out of the driver's seat. It is coming from the bottom left side. Has anyone experienced this and were you able to resolve it? The dealership seems to be stumped by it.

Do you have any actual issues with the seat or it is just the sound ? Does the sound pop from time to time especially when you close the door ?
If that is the case, mine does that too and I don't think it is a problem, it is supposed to do that, but for what reason, I don't know. |

If you are a big guy, it could be the side bolster dipping against the plastic seat trim and when it is released, the plastic trim pops.

One possibility is that your seat frame broke:
https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1560595 This was a problem with earlier cars, so it may not be the problem, as I would have thought they had fixed it by now. |
