8,8 screen upgrade to 10,25

Hello!

I have the small 8,8 screen in my 2019 g30, without navi and touch function.
Is it possible to change to the bigger 10,25 and how much work would that include?
I think that the bigger screen looks better!
Have someone done it?

Looks like id7 with factory navigation is an easy replacement, but a bit unclear if id6 wihout navigation is possible?

For g20 its not possible to code the 10.25 without navigation headunit.

Small update:
I bought and installed android 10.25" screen instead of retrofiting original 10.25" screen, and also have navigation, android auto and ahd back up camera know!
It works better than I tought!

I bought mine at 4*4 shop Canada.
the unit is made in china, but works fine, and so far I have no complaints at all.
My main goal was to get navigation, and first planned to run a mmi box, but then I would still have my small screen.
so I think changing screen was a better option.

Installation was fairly easy, lots of good videos on youtube to follow.
no coding

I run Sygic as navigation program, installed on the android unit and you can download and run maps offline!

And Android auto/apple carplay works both wireless with bluetooth, and with usb cable if you want.
I like that in android auto you can run both navigation and spotify at the same time on the screen!

Thank you for your answer. I had mmi, but I had some problems with it and sent it back to the seller. Maybe I'll try something like that this time. Does your screen have a sim card slot?

Yes, both sim and sd card slot.
And you can also use wifi hotspot from a Phone to connect to internet.

Can you use the obd interface for coding, because when I had an mmi box, there was a problem with it.
bimmercode did not want to connect.

You are supposed to be an ID6 operating system, but you have upgraded to an ID7 operating system. So you can have a whole new operating system and you can do wireless Carplay

Screens 8.8 , 10.25 have the same external size, they differ only in the size of the frames. How is the 12.3 screen, is its external dimension larger?

you can upgrade to 12,3" - but it is depending the production date of your car and of the screen you install how much is required.
I went from 10,25 to 12,3 and yes - it is massive bigger - and yes, it is a cool feature. But is it worth the pay? not so sure
