Bluetooth Audio Issues After Software Updates
What's up everyone,
I'm new here and this is my first thread. I have a 2021 M550i and after I did the required software upgrade a couple of months ago + acceleration software update recently, I noticed that my bluetooth audio started lagging and also music would not play while charging. *Bluetooth Lag Issue I always play my Spotify through my iPhone and every time I changed tracks, it would lag 3-5 seconds on changing the song while the previous song is still playing. In order to fix this, I have to go to my bluetooth settings on my iPhone, disconnect the bluetooth, then pair it again and it would work fine again. It's getting pretty annoying... *Bluetooth Audio Not Working While Charging I also noticed that bluetooth audio will not work once I plug in my USB charger to my iPhone. While I'm charging and I go to the iDrive bluetooth settings, it says that my bluetooth audio is not connected when on my iPhone bluetooth settings, it clearly says that it is connected. Anyone else have this issue? If so, any idea on how to fix these issues? Thanks in advance! |

I believe CarPlay still works but I don't use it because I'm not a big fan of it. I personally think CarPlay makes the BMW look cheap, haha... just my opinion.

Yeah, I tried that method already or else I wouldn't have posted it here.
I guess I'm the only one having this issue... gahhhh. Appreciate your 2 cents though! |

I also press the menu button frequently to have the screen on my default BMW widgets. |

First thing to try when experiencing bluetooth issues is to do a reboot/reset of Idrive. To do this, you press the volume/power knob, and the "mode" button at the same time. Hold them for 30 or 40 seconds until the Idrive screen goes dark. Then release the buttons and the system will reset/restore. Report back if this resolves your issues.
