Mark, going to Oahu or Maui?

Oahu is ok to shoot but I think you would enjoy some of the other islands more. Then again it has Pearl and you get to watch some nice military jets flying around too.

I think that the key to enjoying Oahu is staying away from Wakiki. The North Shore is fantastic.

Dave,
If you are staying on the North Shore, I would try to see if you can get some with the sun behind the waves at sunset. The water is so clear it should look pretty good.
Lucky to witness a competition of that caliber.
I'd like to see if you have some of Kelly Slater or Jaime O'Brien.

I didn't see Slater on the waves, but he came into Roy's for dinner on our last night. I only stayed for a couple of heats and got some great, young surfers. I'm trying to figure out who they are by looking at World Surfing League profiles, but not getting very far.

I'll probably just end up posting everything and linking images that are series, like guys in the barrel. Maybe some of our guys will recognize the surfers.
