That might actually be my only option. I wanted an M3 bad. I posted in a thread on the M3/4 pricing board explaining that with my current 335i lease ending at the end of May, my only real hope of getting into an M3 is if they happen to have a January pull ahead and I can place an order ASAP since they are doing a 4 month production stop in February. Otherwise, I simply don't see myself waiting for production to pick up again in July, the lease residuals are probably gonna suck then anyway. A nicely equipped 540 wouldn't be a bad back up plan though! |

A guess would be a buck ten to a buck thirty with options.
Just built a current M5 @ $121,995 US without Individual The 57K 540 will probably be close to 70K out the door with options.

The 3 series interior is hideous. A reminiscence of an era long gone (handbreak manual lever).

If you are cross shopping the M3 with a 540i, then you really need to take some time to get your priorities straight. Two different cars with two different purposes. |

I know it's always hard to tell exactly what they will do with lease rates from month to month, but does anyone expect lease residuals for the new 5 to drop like a rock come February/March just because it's a new model that many will want to get their hands on? Or can we expect them to stay close to where they are?

What would you like them to cost, the pricing is right in line with the other German brands and the entire segment. If you want a less expensive BMW, there is the 320i which may fall more in line with what you perceive to be the correct price for a 4cyl BMW.

Just thought i'd throw this out there for North East.. I'm a client advisor in upstate NY and my dealership has build spots currently available for G30's, full pricing/option guide came to me today for 530i/xi/540i/xi.
I plan on taking one of those spots myself if i'm allowed as my lease is almost up. I'd be more than happy to help anyone else interested! |

Am I the only one excited the Luxury Seating Package is only $1600? That used to be like $2400 on my F10
And what is this? LED headlights for only $1050? Down from $1900? Wow you'd think BMW is being... should I dare say.... reasonable? My i3 lease is up in August... Hoping to at least be able to order a 540d in NA before then. Last edited by TimeFor; 01-04-2017 at 06:11 PM.. |

$190 for "Gesture Control". I got a gesture for you BMW 🖕
Actually that does seem kind of cheap in BMW pricing terms but still... thats about as useless as wireless charging dock for iPhone owners. |

I built one for $65,300 with the packages I want. It's really not that bad of a price! But I'm curious to see what the lease residuals will be like. Do they tend to drop like a rock when a new model first comes out??
