I switched over to Sports mode but the RPM Tach doesn't show up for me. I even tried engaging into M/S and it still only shows the Power percentage.

Same here, just to clarify, I have the 530e 2018 USA, I do eCO pro, Comfort or sport, none of them toggles to RPM when engaging the paddle to M/S... ( moving it to the left ) are we doing something bad or its something we don't have?

Sadly, on the 530e I believe the tach only is available with the full digital display. I have the lower level display with the plastic rings (the only way to get full digital was the Exec package and I couldn't justify the cost for the other things I didn't want like soft close doors and rear sunshade). The plastic rings have the engine power 0-100% printed on them, so my guess is BMW thought it would be too confusing to show RPMs against that backdrop.
I would be thrilled if someone proves me wrong, as I would love to have the tach to understand how hard I am pushing the car. The engine boost jumps to 100% at full throttle with no correlation to RPMs or sense of headroom. |

For me, the tradeoff is worth it. I really like having the tach. As an added benefit, the blue display is terrific, especially for a hybrid. Pair it with the blue interior lighting (or white if you prefer contrast) and it is striking. |

That I upload. My 530e doesn't have rpm nowhere in comfort eco or sport more. I don't know if that the codes option that Carly says fear shift display or Something. |

You can configure individual sport mode by select transmission into comfort mode but the display will be sport display. The down side is you have to change to sport mode each time you start up the car unless you code it.

I also have a 2018 530E with the mid-level instrument cluster (plastic rings). Without a tach, having manual shift control seems almost meaningless as I have no idea how far I'm pushing the car in each gear. I saw on the G20 Bimmercode cheatsheet something about putting the tach in the HUD during sports mode. Is anyone aware of anyway to get that in the G30?

Here you go. From my '68 Hemi Roadrunner. This will fix you right up. All you need is a big hose clamp. And the Sun tach of course...--Bob

To be clearer, I do have the digital dash (dynamic digital cluster -- 6WB) with the physical rings. And I was able to have the Alpina dash coded. So the presence of the physical rings does not mean that you can't code the Alpina dash. But you would need the 6WB or equivalent.

Sadly I only have 6WA. Really don't understand the point of providing manual shift capabilities without a way to get access to a tachometer.
