Which non-RFT All-Season option for m550i 20”?

Looking for a non-RFT all season high performance tire option for my 21 m550i that’ll arrive in January. We have pretty mild winters, so I don’t need pure snows, but also don’t want to run on summer tires through the colder months.

I’m seeing the following two options:
* Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+
* Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06

Any preferences or a reason to lean one way vs the other? They’re roughly the same price and review rating on TireRack.

I think because you have mild winters, you would be very impressed with the Pilot Sports. The ride noise is very minimal and it's just so smooth.

Just a thought. I had PS4S on my prior M4, and they are great tires. I have Michelin PS3ZP runflats on my current M550, and I love them. Performance very similar to the PS4S, and they are runflats. You might give them a try. So far above other runflats I have experienced.....not even close.

I have the As3+ on my daily driver x1. Got rid of the pirelli cinturato 7 run flat which are a junk tire. Had ps4s on my 4 series and numerous other Michelin tires. I just took them off to put my michelin xice3 on for the winter. 11k miles just under 9/32. Very quiet wear evenly and look like rest of the pilot series tires. I'm not a fan of run flats they get very loud as they wear and if they wear uneven they are really bad. Very rough ride on lower profile series. Some people want the comfort of the run flat but I don't care. My m550 was ordered with non run flat they gave me bridge stones instead of ps4s. Will be switching in the spring. The michelin run flat is very expensive tire but combines run flat with rest of michelins superior qualities.

I’ve got the PS3ZPs on my 540i too, and am very pleased with them.

I picked up a set of DWS06. Came from Pirelli pzero runflats. Completely different ride in the car. Went from jolting to very smooth. Sport rides as smooth as comfort did with the Pirellis. Loss of handling/cornering/grip is minimal. Lots of road noise to minimal and cheaper than AS3. I will switch to PS4 in the spring though.

When my factory Michelin PS3ZP are done I am going to the DWS06 or the AS3s. I have run the DWS06 on other cars and always been pleased.

I run Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 on my 2020 M550 and am extremely happy w/ their performance in cold, rain and light snow. The 668M rims, however, are another story - they bend easily at the slightest pothole

Anyone have an opinion on the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S? I'm running 668M with PSS now but will be looking for a performance A/S tire when this current set needs replacing.
