Trip computer stuff?

oK...I'm new to the G30/iDrive 7. Today, I'm looking at the trip computer pages. Each one , in the lower left corner, has a circle with an "A" in it, then zeros beside, then below, a little car figure with an arrow thingy, and more zeros. It looks like an elapsed time/mileage counter of some sort.
What is it, and how does it work?
I sure I will go "duh" when I find out.
Thanks in advance.

Could it be a "Start/stop" timer and a counter for how long the car has free wheeled in Eco Pro? I sort of remember, that my pre-LCI has similar things in Eco Pro.
