2020 m550 with N63B44T3 still burn oil?
Does anyone know if this version of the N63 has had the oil consumption issue fixed or is it still like the 18’s and 19’s for the M550?
Bmw is aware of the problems but I am not sure if they have fixed it for MY 2020,or is their fix just keep adding oil? |

No idea and no experience. However, if this is any barometer, I have a B58B30M0 in my 540i and I've already read on the G20 forum that the B58B30O1 has an oil consumption issue. At least some drivers do.

I had an N54 in 2008 and I had to carry a quart in the trunk and add 1 every so often . It wasn’t a big deal but I just don’t want other components in the engine to get fried before the low oil light comes on.
Off topic but I also owned a 93 Mazda rx7 twin turbo back in 93 for which I always had extra oil in the trunk and oil seals wrecked at every service appt. God I loved that car |

I have a 2018 M550i and zero consumption issues. I run mine quite hard too. 19k miles currently.

I run mine pretty hard and 6500 miles and oil is still at max. My F10 M5 I had a quart in trunk at all times due to 650-800 miles I needed to add a quart. Knock on wood zero so far in my 19 M550

I've had my '19 M550i since January and I've never had an oil issue; however, I don't drive very often. I don't even have 5,000 miles on her yet.

I have a 2018 M550i with 52,000 miles on it and never added a drop of oil between changes - always at max oil level. In fact, I have yet to hear of anyone having oil consumption issues on a G30 M550i. I'm not sure where these comments are coming from...

Update from previous post , now 7800 miles on my 19 M550 with tune and zero oil drinking. My M5 was a quart every 500-750 miles, literally had a quart of oil in my trunk car all times

Yeah, I've not ever heard of any oil consumption issues with the M550 either. Zero oil use with my 2018 M550 in 15,000 miles and zero thus far on my 2020 M550 with 2000 miles.
