Did I get a good deal? CPO 2017 540i Xdrive
I recently purchased a 2017 CPO with 28,000 miles. I live in the DC area and it was hard finding a fully loaded 540i with the beautiful carbon black on mocha brown interior.
Price was $42,999. I got swindled into the extra Maintenance Package + Tire and Wheel Package at $2,600 and $2675. They gave me $500 more on my trade in. This is an extra $5000 financed over 72 months at 3.49%. I am not sure if the extra $5K is worth it and am not sure if it is too late to cancel both items. Maintenance is 5 years or 75,000 miles. Here are the specs: Carbon Black Metallic Mocha Nappa W/Contrast Stitching/Piping Premium Leather Comfort Access Keyless Entry Soft-Close Automatic Doors Harman Kardon Surround Sound System Multi-Contour Seats Driver Assistance Plus Driver Assistance Package Driver Assistance Plus II Cold Weather Package Premium Package M Sport Package Luxury Seating Package 19 M Spoke Wheels with All Season Run Flats 245/40/R19 I could not find anything in the area with these options at that price in this one owner clean condition CPO price. Could I have gotten a better deal? I am confused if I need the extra charges because I am covered up to July 2022 for the CPO warranty and have indys to cover services. Can I Cancel the extra stuff? What happens to my loan with BMW financial services? |

Extended warranty packages (not the 1 extra year of CPO)are almost always refundable so I would think the extended maintenance package could also be refunded so long as you have not used it yet. If you have it financed I would guess they buy down the loan when you refund and you end up with a couple less payments at the end, but not sure.
What do you get for the tire and wheel package? That sounds like a total waste of money but not sure what you get for it. |

yeah, I am not sure if the maintenance is worth it! I know I am certainly paying for it but it is convenient and reassuring knowing that I am covered for 75,000 miles maintenance wise. The tires I understand because it is for 5 years and unlimited miles. I intend to drive a lot once the pandemic is over. |
