Going up a size with michelins

Last year I tried going up a size to make up for the 2mph fast speedo. Problem was I went with some continental tires that after digging in to them were reviewed as being mushy or having soft sidewalls. I'm needing some tires soon in the next couple months and was thinking about sticking with PS4S'. Does anyone know if they'll feel similarly? I know a bunch of people have gone up a size but I can't find anyone specifically talking about this.

I currently have 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 (Goodyear run flats which are awful) the. oem 759i 20s

I can't wait to get PS4S on the big question is can I go to 255/35/20 and 285/30/20?

I've seen calculation where the diameter variance is only 1%

my concern would be is the 8J sized front wheel limited to 245 and no more?

thanks

Yes, I'd stick to the 245/35 and 275/30 sizes on the "narrow" OEM 20s.

I should have elaborated that I would go to 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 like I did with the mushy feeling continental tires. However disregard this as I had to order a PS4S set overnight when my tires got peppered by debris on the highway the other night. Want to check for rubbing if I square the set with the rear 20x9 up front with 275/30's so that I can put a full size spare in the trunk instead of the donut.

Cheers.

My only concern with going up one profile size from and back is that wheel arch gap which is already too much would increase noticeably
