Disable Seatbelt Chime at Startup
I was able to code a few things successfully with bimmercode.
However, for the seatbelt chime at startup, it didn't seem to work. I was able to set the "Seatbelt reminder" entries to "Not Active". But when I start up the car, I still get the chime if the seatbelt isn't engaged. Any ideas? 2020 BMW 540i that I just got new. Build date is 03/2020 according to the sticker on the door jamb. |

Put seatbelt on?
Sorry couldn't resist. My uk model only chimes once you have moved a bit over about 5 mph or thereabouts. So if you are just parking and manoeuvring, no chime but as soon as you move off over about 5mph it will chime. There may be country specific differences there possibly? |

I wear a seatbelt everytime. Feel naked without it. The chime is annoying because I put on my seatbelt right after hitting the engine-start button.
I wonder why my case is different - the chime happens while I am in park. |

I have adjusted fairly often to belt first then turning the engine one. This is easier in my 530e due to it already being at a comfortable temp due to preconditioning. In my old car I'd get the engine on first to get climate control working ASAP. |

For me, as soon as I click my belt in once I get into the car it does a bunch of stuff like making the side bolster go to my desired setting. If I had seat heating, ventilation, or massage activated recently it automatically turns all of these back on for me. So they've added a few more incentives I guess to get me to shift from belting before driving off to belting as soon as I sit down. |

Sounds like a regulation difference there for the US. In U.K. if I start the car and don't put belt on there is no chime unless I start to drive around, as I say slow manoeuvres do not make it chime until you start to make some progress
So there must be a setting governing that so presumably codeable |

If you sign up for their beta app, it might already be fixed.

Just wanted to report that the latest update from bimmercode a week ago did in fact fix this issue. I wish they would publish updates more often. Seems like they're on a 4-6 month cadence.
