M550i Shifts in Sport+

Just picked one up and don't have much experience with high HP on a zf8. Noticing shifts are very quick and somewhat violent (maybe not the best word) during WOT at redline. Is the violence normal? Not complaining if it is. Thanks.

Yes it’s normal. Best mode for me is to program all systems in sport but leave transmission in comfort.

Yes, the shifts in Sport+ are defintely "violent" - I love it - pin your ears back and gun it!

The ZF8 shifts in the M550 are not nearly as violent as the DCT shifts in my previous M4. But I love them. I agree.....enjoy!!

Thanks for the responses. Sport individual with everything sport or sport+ and transmission in comfort seems to be a good everyday compromise. Sport+ and shifter to left when you need a little violence in your life.
