How firm is the 704 M sport suspension?

Dear all

I have F10 2013 with which i change my factory suspension to Boge suspension

The car is very very stiff to the level that gives me back pain and the whole car shake if hitting the pothole its letterally not comfortable

Its SE model its not M sport

I wanna buy a used G30 530i Msport 704 suspension

Is it gonna be harsh riding like my F10?

I did a lot of search and some are saying that G30 Msport suspension is comfertable to the level of comfort mode of comfort mode on the grancupe 6 series with adaptive suspension

As i live in Saudi Arabia i wanna know if its gonna be that harsh to the level that i will hate the car?

I have the 704 suspension in both our F10 & G30; both the I6 variety with ROFs. I'm well over the proverbial hill and don't find either car harsh. Our 1st BMW was a 2012 with the standard suspension. Compared to the 704, it was a bit floaty, though not Buick floaty.

My F10 is very very harsh if you came to puthole the whole car shake to level you feel like it gonna brake the car and this is with 18 wheel and no Runflats

Im wondering if the G30 with 704 will be that level of harsh

Because i couldnt have a clear answer i thought it will be a great idea to buy a luxury one and fit a M sport kit on it

i know exactly what you mean, dealers made a big mistake fitting 704 m suspension and not adaptive especially where we live. I would say they are a bit stiff and I also get some back pain when driving more than an hour, It also depends what seat you have, I think comfort seat option with 704 is a perfect combination but not sport seats of course, sport seats with 704 will make you hate the car. I'm really thinking to swap either the seat or to KW's.

I had a F10 SE with VDC on 18 inch NNF Tyres, my G30 has the basic M sport 704 on 20 inch alloys and I found the ride similar between the two, then slightly better on the G30 once I swapped to the PS4S NRFs.

I was worried, that the ride would be worse, especially on the larger alloys but no issues.

I didn’t spec VDC on the G30 as I found very little difference between sport and comfort, I had the F10 from brand new until I traded it in for the G30, some 137,400 miles later.

I used to do a 150 mile drive on a motorway each day, it was country bound so dead, but very exposed, the only time I found VDC useful was on this trip as it helped a tiny bit with drifting.

That road suffered from strong cross winds and as I said it was “dead” so rarely would you be driving slowly, you could go 20 mins before seeing another car etc and it was a 2 lane, straight flat motorway.. so I was often “filling the clock” if you catch my meaning.

I agree with the last comment. From day one I felt the 704 in my 540ix was too stiff. Maybe 70% of the time on our crappy local roads. Switched out the run-flats for Pirreli AS+3s and felt the ride too stiff maybe 50% of the time. At the advice of a forum member, dropped the tire pressure to 32psi all around and the ride is too stiff 30% of the time. I can live with that.

Are you sure you had the 704 suspension? My understanding is the x-drive's got the m-sport appearance items but not the 704 suspension. Maybe that changed with the G30.

My 2021 LCI with sport suspension is so comfy. On 19 inch run flats. Never one complaint from me or any passengers.

Do you have comfort seats on your G30?
