Hi all. Just wondering if this lease deal with my local BMW dealer is any good (OH, IN). They said they can’t do any better than this. It’s a custom build and I’m being told now that it will probably be here in July because I ordered massaging seats and there is a parts shortage.

> Original MSRP: $87,385.00
> Selling Price: $82,849.00
> Rebates (not included in selling price): $1000.00
> Cash Down: $4000.00
> Security Deposits: $7000.00
> Residual: $59%
> Money Factor: .00098 (the rate after buying it down with the security deposits)
>Monthly Payment: $951.78

Thanks for any insight.

Hi Guys, Figured I would chime in here. I had the option of paying for the taxes on the lease up front or roll it into the monthly payment for the new M340. I always pay the taxes on the lease up front.
My experience with loaners from dealers atleast here in NYC is that dealers wont give you a loaner if you didn't purchase the car from them. Could also be that they just dont like me. lol

I feel like nyc dealers always look for an excuse to not give you a loaner.

I've never had an issue getting a service loaner for a car that I bought elsewhere. But I'm also a good customer and buy *most* of my cars from the place that I get it serviced.

But I can certainly understand why a dealer would not bend over backward for you if you didn't give them the sale.

Chances are you will need to contact the dealers individually for that. I recommend contacting all the dealers in a 40 / 50 mile radius from your base. Try doing by email putting in the specs for your vehicle and then what you are looking to pay. See who responds. Some might have ones that have been sitting in inventory. Also the deals on models change every month depending on what incentives Corporate is offering.

BMW site now showing lease offer of 889$/month - 4999 due at delivery - it says includes metallic paint, exec, driving assistance and parking packages !? Sounds a bit too good to be true a car with those specs has an msrp of 85-86k. I reached out to my dealer and they have not gotten back to me for the second straight day. They know my lease is almost done and they have been all over me lately so not sure what’s up. Offer says it’s factoring in dealer contribution of 1775, maybe that doesn’t appeal to them.

That $5k at delivery is a down payment. Doesn't include your taxes, first month payment and all government fees.

So, you're likely looking at $8-10k DAS and an almost $900 payment. Terrible deal that could easily be beaten by a reputable lease broker off Leasehackr.

Happy to recommend some, but anything you see on BMW's website is not a 'deal', it's a bend over special. But BMW isn't bending in that situation...

I think it depends on the model you are after. 550s were completely unavailable and I was satisfied with getting 3% off my 2022 order. But if you are going after something on the lot that is a 2021 then I would expect 10% range. For 2022s I think it is too early for any big discounts especially on the models less widely available. The fact is right now there is more demand for cars than supply.

Depends. I got 6% discount (for a '22) plus $1,750 incentive last week. Just have to find the right dealer. I am a repeat customer though. Other dealerships were selling at MSRP. This was my own build.

Also, 10% is unheard of since April. The cars are literally selling themselves at MSRP. The dealership look at it this way: "If you don't buy it, someone else will"

If you go to Leasehackr.com, you will see what's available in the whole country.

Spoke with a broker recently and they said 6% if you’re lucky. 10% was reasonable last fall / winter. I feel like that should all be taken with a grain of salt now with all the supply issues and delays.

I ended up buying a CPO 2018. I keep watching pricing and I swear costs for M550's and other nice vehicles is increasing! I considered a lease but couldn't get enough off and got offers like what was posted by others - $5000 down and still close to $1000/month with not enough miles per month. Used was a better deal even after buying the extended warranty to extend CPO to 4 years

Cost of a new M550i is not neccesarily increasing, but the used car market is deifnitely at an all time high.

You would have paid almost the same amount for an M550i a year or two ago, give or take a couple of % more discount if leasing. A well optioned ($90k+) M550i with 5k down will always be around $1k, nothing to do with the current market. It's mostly affecting the used car prices. For leasing, 6% (what I got) or 8% discount is not a HUGE difference.

hi, this seems to be right thread I was looking for. Working with dealer and he is welcome to offer me 2022, 530xi with 9% off on a build. But the incentive/rebate is depends on what is available in Sep month because deliver is in Sep for 2022 model. So it is hard to believe me he is offering 9%. Is BMW offering any incentive/rebate for 2022 model in July/August? Can it be in Sep?
When you guys are talking about 6 or 10%, are you getting incentive/rebate on top of it for 2022.
Appreciate your help.

I was real close to begin negotiations on a 2018 this past weekend but I think the 2020 and more so LCI updates are persuading me to have a little more patience. I'm in the market but in no rush to stop driving my e39 540/6 with 265k mi.

Amazing car. A few years ago I sold my 2003 540i Touring. 15 years ago I had an M-sport 540i/6. Still one of my favorite BMWs!

To add to your point, I think there are better deals to be had on the older M550is due to the LCI. I was only considering the LCI when shopping as I like the look much better.

I wouldn’t mind a pre-LCI, but I’d want the N63TU3 motor from the 2020 (U.S.). I’m still keeping an eye out for used ones. Not likely to see much until the 3 year leases start ending…

I agree which is a shame. However from a discussion I was having earlier, I don't think there is much of a performance factor between the two motors. Can anyone who has driven both chime in?

Not to clog up this thread but are there any other differences to know about? Perhaps there is a thread already discussing this?

Are you referring to the N63TU3 in the 2020 vs 2021? If so, there is no performance difference. If you're refering to the difference between the N63TU3s and older N63s (2019 and older), then yes - there is a significant difference. Just look at the magazine times. My X5 M50i with the N63TU3 was faster than my friends 2017 M550i, even though the X5 is much bigger.

Keep in mind that BMW is currently working on a software update for the N63TU3 to make it faster and in line with expectations as not everyone is getting the advertised numbers.
