Just to make sure, If I order an xpipe...do I need the 2.75" or 3"? what is factory?

I'm pretty sure factory is a 3". I ordered a 3" x-pipe and it matched right up.

It's 70mm / 2.75". 3" could sleeve over the original pipes with care but with the rear muffler going back down to 70mm again not sure you would gain performance with 3".

Thanks for the feedback.

Was going to order an x-pipe online just wanted to verify the size I need. I have a friend with an X5...cant remember the model but the older M version that wasn't an M...He's had a Magnaflow x pipe on for 10+years and said it been fine.

Good to know. I called a few shops around me and no one I spoke to wants to do that kind of work. So I am looking for options.
