How to clean oil/grime stain (or remove) on leather headrest
I just picked up a CPO 540i and after ceramic coating it 2 weeks ago, I was concentrating a little more on the interior this past weekend. I noticed the passenger headrest has a circular stain on it, most likely from hair products?
I've tried to remove it with unsuccessfully with: - leather cleaner + soft brush/saddle brush - warm soapy water + brush/MF towel - interior cleaner + brush/MF towel - soapy water & tar/bug remover + MF towel Nothing has worked. Using a MF towel + leather cleaner and gently rubbing removes a black residue. I'm nervous removing the dye or damaging the leather and I'm not sure what else to try. My wife saw a video suggesting corn starch but...any other suggestions? Also, anyone know how to remove the headrests on the sport seats? I'm guessing the caps pop off somehow which allows access to the metal poles but I couldn't find any info. Thanks!

I've seen good and bad video results of using magic eraser on steering wheels and arm rests.

^ Thanks. I might give that a try but I've just about given up. I'm not sure if this 'stain' is actually a stain or something that ate through the protective clear coat.
I've tried unsuccessfully to remove this 'stain' with- - baking soda+white vinegar - corn starch - Lexol leather cleaner - Leather Nova cleaner - CG Orange Degreaser - Bug/Tar remover None of the above really improved or lessened the appearance of the stain, so I'll probably just end up purchasing a new headrest at some point.
