Tune g30 m550i 2018

Best tune option for catless , High flow x pipes, OEM exhaust.

Go!

Considering BM3 (if available) definitely open to options and things to consider.

I drive the car in the evenings a few miles each day and on the weekends. Outside of that I have my company car.

What's your thoughts on something piggyback like JB4? If you were running at JB4… and removed it every time he went in for service if you ended up having some kind of engine problems do you think he would still fly under the radar for warranty work?

I'm assuming with a BM3 flash even if you take it out they're going to know it was there and you're flagged?!?

Yea any piggy back it's as simple as removing driving a bit and taking it in no issues. Flash tunes are a different story, even after flashing stock and re-locking DME dealer can still tell. With that said, there's been people who re-locked drove 100+ miles and dealer had no idea, cars were even traded in and dealer ended up re selling them. Others have gotten it serviced with the tube etc. I'm personally not flashing anything until CPO is up, my car is at dealer now needing thermostat replacement lol.

How long does it take to install the HB4? once you've done it and know what to do - about how long does it take to remove it and reinstall it for dealer visits?

I did the stage 1 93 tune.

Stock DPs for now.

I was consistently getting low 4's 0-60 with a high DA, now I'm very consistent around 3.6 on a 2018 M550 (still pretty high DA).

Looking for a little more out of my 2018 M550i and would like to do a Stage 1 tune. It's my daily driver so reliability is a factor vs. 10 extra HP.

Not sure why ACS is $14 K for a piggyback.

Any experience with the new Dinan X?

Appreciate any guidance.
