I drove a 220i M Sport to get a feel for the engine this weekend, was shocked as to how much I liked the car! I normally buy big cars but this felt so light and handled very well, a really well sorted chassis and steering set up imo. I really may consider an M2 when the time comes to change mine as the X1 can now be the main family vehicle.

Actually, given the limited, initial availability of the M2, and its impact on resale values, perhaps a near-new M235i might make better sense

Yeah my dealer told me that each UK dealership is getting 3 allocated per year, I wont be changing my car for a while yet. It was really nice driving something small and nimble after so many years in big cars... That's part of the reason I have bought my wife the F48 tbh, it's small enough for her to be comfortable driving it and has enough room for our whole family. This means it opens up options that I would normally not consider for me when I next change my car.

Haha, was viewing ShineySteelRobot's post on my phone and the pictures didn't show! Just been looking at the thread on my laptop and noticed what he meant...

Ok it looks almost exactly like this one. Not a bad SUV. But it's not so exciting that I've ever felt the urge to take a picture of her actual car, hopefully this facsimile will do.

Actually it's almost the same size as our new X1.

Lucky you !!! I drive the E84 X1 but my sweet love would not spend that much so we have a Hyundai Accent as a second ride ... I pray each day that she will " see the light " and go for a 320i XDrive ... Maybe when I'm finished with my own finance I would be able to convince her I'd put the extra for the 3 series ... ahhh that would be so nice ...

Aquaplaned off dual carriageway. No Armco. Ditch. Bmw auto dial emergency service is awesome. Sent police to my gps location in 8 minutes. I had a slight burn to wrist from airbag but walked away. Amazing build quality. Blue propeller all the way for me now. Best product endorsement ever
