G30 roof rack covers stuck open

I opened one roof rack cover out of curiosity today, and after that I am not able to close it. It seems like there is spring pulling it outwards. Then tried to see what would happen on rear one and - the same thing

Not sure if there is some special steps to close these, or I am screwed. They opened without problems and I don't see a chance that I broke something

Just push it harder. They will go down
