Just got my DMEs back from FEMTO, running BM3 Stage 1 on my 21 M550.
Runs absolutely lovely. Will look into DPs later this month (Before i get divorced for dropping so much money on depreciating assets )

Will also be doing spark plugs cause im about to hit 50k miles. Anything else I should consider?

cadena do you plan to replace the spark plugs with OEM? The spark plugs on the MY2020+ M550 are unique due to the higher energy coils used on the TU3 engine. I'd be careful about changing them to anything non-OEM. Also do the coils at the same time as the plugs.

If you don't have it already you should also get xHP for the transmission. I love spending other people's money!

Going with OEM, don't really want to mess with the gap on those aftermarket ones. Crap, good idea to do the coils too.

How long did it take for the unlock to come back ?

i sent mine on Thursday, got it back on Wednesday

if you send your DME on Monday, there is a good chance you get it back by Friday or Saturday

Last I heard, I think that the MHD Wi-Fi adapter is the best available adapter since it works with many different tools and platforms. Does anybody know if there's now a better one out there?

I sent mine when the Ukraine war started. Had to wait until they were set up in Finland. Unfortunately they could only accept packages from the EU. So I had to commission a stranger in Germany to receive my ecu's, then send them to Finland, then get them back, then send them back to me in the states. Took an entire month.

nope, femto is the only way to go now and in the foreseeable future.

I just found out my shop here has the unlock tool for their race cars but they advised me to wait until my warranty was close to being done.

your local shop have a way to unlock the DME, and are they keeping it a secret?
