I got exhaust tip covers - quad looking (don't flame me) and it won't stay on...

driver's side keeps loosening up, which is obviously caused by the fact that it's held on by 3M tape and the tip gets hot. Other side is fine since that pipe never gets hot (not sure why though). Any "tips" on what to use to keep this sucker on? I need something strong enough to withstand heat obviously. thanks! Maybe there's exhaust or muffler cement?

well, I tried the muffler cement...no go. after awhile it still heats up enough to melt that crap off - it's loose again... crap... don't want to take it in for welding... thinking maybe just drilling a hole in the bottom and screwing it on from the bottom where you wouldn't see it...

Nothing keeps them on!!!!!! I'm so annoyed but I had a feeling that there was no way 3M tape was going to work on a hot exhaust but i thought the cement would - nope. It was loose today. The other side, that's often colder, was pretty decent but was also loosening up a bit... decided to screw it, rip 'em off and repaint my OEM tips gloss black again. Had to re-sand them down due to the tape sticking to it and I didn't use the clear coat gloss paint on them, so they were more of a matte black, I like glossy. So far two coats of primer on, black tomorrow and then clear coat monday when amazon delivers since home depot didn't stock the paint

JB weld did not work, tried it. And yes could have used a screw but opted to just remove them and repaint my tips gloss black again. Thanks
