Hmm no not for me, I like the simplicity of the pre lci, too much going on with the lci ones.
I'm also of the mind that if you're going to do lci tails then you should do lci headlights & all the other stuff that'd need changing to do a proper job & I can't be arsed with all that.

Bit late to this party - sorry! Intrigued by the MSS suspension work. I contacted them a few yrs back about g31, as the rears are bags, so ‘just’ need tie rods. The magic in their dual spring set up is brilliant, but they didn’t do a g31 solution at the time. How is it working out? Would be really interested in their solution.

All nice cars here too - will figure out how to get a pic of mine up at some point…!

I love it makes the car feel so much more planted and precise. No more floating feeling

Thinking of buying AC Schnitzer lowering kit for the G31. Drop will be 20-25mm front & 15-20mm rear, as it sits 10mm higher anyways with the adaptive suspension I reckon it’ll be just about right. I don’t want it slammed, as good as that’d look I don’t wanna lose the comfort & the convenience of not having to ‘tip toe’ over speed humps.
Does anyone have this set up, if so what’s it like?

It’ll also be needing a new set of tyres in a few thousand miles, am 95% set on getting a set of MPS4S Zero Pressure. Have had a quote of £1,052 fitted, which I thought was ok.
Other contenders are (all rf)
Michelin Primacy 3 £1,020
Pirelli P7 £1,066
I currently have these fitted front & rears respectively & they’ve been fine but I feel that the MPS4S’s will give it a bit more ‘feel’ & will be a bit of an upgrade, which will make the cost a little ‘sweeter’. I had them in go flats on the e92 35i & was very happy with them, wear rate was ok as well.
GoodYear F1 asy 3 £1,086, also had a set of these in go flats on the rear of the 35i when I couldn’t get Michelins & found them very good with slightly more wet grip than what were the current MPS3 but the wear rate was very high, lasted 6,000 miles.

i would say do the tires first, then when you are bored do the springs. springs if its a must.

Well mine is booked in on 4th for ACS kit so can comment after then if you want to wait?

Having had their kit before I'm quite confident of the outcome, yes it will be lower , but not by much compared to the other makes, and it's designed for better handling without sacrificing comfort.

Anyway you need to have the kit to compliment all the other ACS kit you have

No problem, I'll ensure we get some accurate arch to wheel centre measurements before & after as well.

Not sure it will save you any money, but at least it will delay the opening of the wallet a bit

Cheers

I agree with BMW012. When lowering, the wheels can be completely lost visually, and the ACS splitter still asks for larger wheels. In my opinion, black wheels always look smaller than they really are. I would advise you Chappers 71 to start by installing a new set of wheels, and then choose an understatement for it. I generally have R 18, they look like wheels from a children's bike, and after installing the splitter and side blades, they have decreased even more.

I’m happy with the 19”s & am fairly sure that fitting 20”s & lowering it would be more likely to compromise the comfort & convenance, especially as I intend to keep with runflats.

I reckon a 20 rear & 25mm drop front would look just about right, as a mater of fact I just nipped out with a tape & had a measure & I reckon that’d be spot on, after all it is a wagon. I did a 40mm drop on the e92 35i & although it looked great & cornered like it was on rails it wasn’t exactly a comfortable ride & as I’m now an old man comfort comes first

what about tire parameters from g01/02 to g32? 245/40 275/35 R20? comfort as on R19, but they have a view! this is just for thought)

I am running 20 inch 669m M-Performance wheels. I have H&R Spacers and MSS Springs fitted to the front and the rear has been set in diagnostic mode to remain lowered.

I love the ride.

Got a new set R19 Work SportTechnic and installed a new splitter. The old one flew away at 220 km / h (this is not good)

Let's see those Wagons!!

I bought my G31 last August, it’s a 2018 Champagne Quartz Metallic (Beige) 540ix Msport with AC Schnitzer aero, exhaust & sound pipe. It’s also been remapped & eats F82 M4’s in a straight line
It’s got adaptive suspension, pan roof, adaptive LED’s, cognac leather with burled walnut trim & comfort massage seats
Count me as one of the jealous!

Them Audi boys get all the fun, with their lowered All-Roads. They look friggin badass, like that.
