Clear paint protection. Yay or nay?

Thinking about getting the hood and fenders wrapped with Xpel paint protection film. Also getting all 4 door cups and clear door edge guards. I've heard the clear paint protection sometimes becomes yellow. Is that true? 10 year warranty against yellowing

It can yellow, but Xpel is one of the better ones. Yellowing is only a concern on white and silver cars.

for a review after 1 year and 11 months.

I've had a few cars done. My opinion: Do the front bumper, mirrors, headlights, top of the rear bumper. I used to do door edges, door cups...heck I did the entire front up to the front door edges on my Ferrari....but I think "less is more" these days.

The only reason I want to do the door cups is so I don't have to deal with scratches from rings and what have you. I don't wear a ring (only 24 not married ). My mom and sister wear rings so ya....

I was thinking of just getting the hood and fenders since their metal. The bumper can always get repainted same with the plastic mirror caps. The top of the rear bumper would make sense if I was going to put lumber or something in the car.

Door edge guards are a ehhh since I park far (it's only $20 each door) and pay attention to how far the drywall is in the garage and stuff

We all prioritize differently I guess. The front bumper by far takes more stone damage than the hood or fenders. Even though the bumper has a plastic cover, it gets sandblasted from road debris, not just rock chips. The trunk it depends on if you are loading and unloading items often (who carries lumber? lol). I do with luggage, and boxes and valets can be less than careful, thus the added protection. I don't wear rings, no does my gf, so not a concern for me on door pockets.

Yay for me. My M550 is the first car I've had PPF'd (full front, fenders mirrors, etc.) and it is so nice to not have one rock chip or sandblast effect on the bumper and fenders.

I'm getting the front bumper, full hood and door cups ppf. Fenders and mirrors I'll do them down the road
