Finally got around to getting the Geo setup by some of the best in the business. They also managed to fit F90 sway bars with a combination of the G30 and F90 drop links & bolts. No customisation required! The car corners much flatter and the understeer on entry is now gone. No loss of ride quality whatsoever.

Forgot to mention - I asked them to put the car on the corner scales while it was there.

So for comparison:

(CarAndDriver real world scales is the source of data for the M5 variants)

2021 M5 Comp - 1925 kg
2021 M5 CS - 1861 kg
2021 M550i - 1878 kg

Pleased to read online that TCU tunes for the current generation of ZF 8speeds are coming in the next month or two. The gearbox is the one thing holding the car back at this stage. Revised shift map and torque limiter uplift would be gold.

Took her out for a blast on a quiet Sunday eve, met a G80 M3 Competition RWD for the first time out in the wild. Had a good time on the empty roads and a little chat with the owner. In summary The M3 owns the windy bits and changes direction very quickly. The V8 dominates the straights and any up hill torque monster sections. Pretty much as expected really!

Pulled the trigger on the M Performance big brake kit. I feel like the stock rotors look too small behind my wheels now. This picture sold them to me: Fills out the drums of 20" rims so much better.

Kits arrived in a giant box on a mini pallet from Germany! Check out the size of em next to an Olympic plate for comparison.

Nice thread and nice build (following).

I just ordered a 2023 Phytonic Blue M550i a couple of weeks ago and I’m playing the waiting game now.

Hope the supply chain improves and you don't have to wait all year.

I still think the 668's are the sexiest wheels ever.
They just flow so gracefully on my car/color.....dark metallic.

To each his own, I think your aftermarket wheels look sick on your car Boosted.
Nice for you to keep the updates coming. I think you're the #1 person in modding our M550's and posting results in our forum.

You need to post some YT vids !

I think the size of the brakes just looks correct now. More so at the rear, where they are much bigger than stock. It's the same spec system Alpina fit to their B5 with the 621bhp N63 upgrades. The dimpled rotors kick up more dust but that's why matte grey wheels are a thing right haha.

First driving impressions after bedding in are they have way more bite when hot, the recode has changed the ABS and the hazards don't kick in unless you are emergency stopping now which is really useful!

Do you know if you can "code out" the hazard light function during hard braking?

Yes. I had to code it in on my F10 & G30. I used E-Sys (back when I knew how) on the F10 & Bimmercode on the G30.

Do you need to install something like a mid pipe cat delete section when removing the secondary cats?

And have you considered replacing the downpipes? That’s usually where you get the best gains in terms of less backpressure.

I'm not planning to run the car catless as I don't want the CEL and smell.
