Brake pad upgrade ?

Hello,

I'm curious to see if anyone upgraded their brake pads.
Reason? I'm sick of cleaning brakedust caked wheels.

In the past, I've used alot of akebono pads on brembo calipers.
My car doesn't see track.
Tuned 2020 m550i, some spirited driving and heavy braking does the job.

I wanted to see, who's using what, how are they holding up and dusting.

I went with some EBC red stuff and they're great. No/low dust, better grip.

Did you change the rotors (front/rear) as well? Or just the pads (front/rear)?

I use g-loc street pads for the street, better modulation than oem pads but probably just as dusty. I prefer them because the initial bite is not as aggressive but they bite harder when you really press it. I also have not changed the rotors after 70,000km and like 10 track days, those things are almost immortal lol. Definitely recommend EBC red as well if you don't like dust

Pads only. No issues.

Out of curiosity, did you swap the pads yourself? If so, how did you retract the electric parking brake?

I'm very pleased with akebono ceramic pads. Good bite and very little dust.
