My first BMW

I took delivery of my first BMW (G30) in mid-December. Factory order with modest spec. So far, delighted with it...

Nice motor mate

Can I just ask why SE and not M sport model ?

You have LED headlights which rare to find in UK for some reasons but you didn’t spec M sport ?

You going to add some Mods or leaving standard ?

I thought the extra for M Sport was a little too much for me and didn't come with enough of the extras I wanted, like tech pack, driver assistance, reversing camera and HK stereo. I threw in the icon headlights and fogs but left it at that. I was keen to keep the smallest 17" tyres for sake of ride comfort and tyre cost after I got stung with cost of replacements on previous car (XC90) with 21" wheels.

He is spot on with the ride comfort.

I drove 2 sportpack cars, 530D and 540i, before buying my non sportpack 540i.

The difference is night and day on uneven and pothole filled roads, which we have plenty here. It is only similiar on smooth highway surfaces.

And there is the added benefit of being able to rotate the wheels every 10k km which makes a big difference in tyre life.
