Lexapro. I generally have very harsh reactions to psychiatric meds, and have been having a very rough time in terms of side effects coming off, even tapering down slowly (5mg per 7 days). Was only on the med for ~2 months. Some significant dizziness and disorientation ever since beginning to taper off, and one other near-fainting incident (more like a conventional faint, with cold sweats, everything going "white").

I'm taking Lamictal (and have been for years), so odds are it's not a seizure, but who knows.

Both psychiatrist and internist are pretty confident it's a very, very severe withdrawal symptom, but we're going to check everything.

Wow that sucks! So if you have tons of aftermarket parts on the car costing $$$ insurance wont let you touch it? I remember my car was sitting in a junk yard after a accident and the guy let me do whatever I wanted to it.

wow, glad you're okay, hopefully this doesn't happen again, especially not while driving.

if the insurance happens to say what wrecker/dismantler gets the car let us know

I went to the BMW body shop, my salesman got the JB3. I'll see if I can find which wrecker. Car has RR catless DPs undamaged interior, and 3 good BMW Perf wheels.

Took about a dozen pics I'll try to get up later today.

The pole intruded roughly 18" into the engine compartment.

Block was cracked, front axle broke on the left side. Engine and trans fluid spilled out of the car along with chunks of metal at the scene, so I imagine the damage was catastrophic. Managed to get the JB3 out of the DME box and gave it to my salesman at JMK BMW. He'd been thinking about one since driving my 1er, but hadn't gotten around to it.

Not sure about the condition of the DPs. Engine had moved back several inches, so very possible that there's exhaust damage, but body shop guy said it MAY be ok.

Seeing the damage, and how far the pole intruded into the engine compartment, I'm extraordinarily impressed with how the car performed. Absolutely no damage in the interior, dash didn't move an inch.

As you can see, airbag coverage is awesome. Top half of passenger compartment was COMPLETELY covered, including B Pillar.

YIKES, glad you're okay.

but anyhow the seats (non-power) and door panels are perfect for my car, especially since the airbags didn't go off, I'd love to get the wreckers info, thanks!

I'll see what I can do for you. There's a guy I know who's good for shipping. I'll call my buddies at the dealer and see if they can let me know where the car ended up. Everything in the interior should be pretty flawless. I didn't inspect, but I'll let you know what I can do.

I'm glad too. It looks NASTY, if I saw that I wouldn't believe the guy walked away completely unharmed.

All the airbags deployed, I'll get up the pic I took. They work well, everything is completely covered (windows, hard points), and the drivers airbag didn't hurt at all. I didn't even get bruised on my chest.

I'll have to see what insurance says, but I'll likely part out what survived. It's at the BMW bodyshop, I'll see if I can talk them into pulling the interior out (assuming a total).

As for replacing the car, I'm undecided. I may pick up a Z4MC or another S2K along with something comfortable, safe, and preferably AWD, or I may look at an E92 M3 now that there are such good deals, look at that new S4, or maybe pick up another 135i. I'll really have to see what insurance offers me for the car.

I also want to finish getting all these tests done to make sure nothing is wrong (EEG, CT, echo, etc)

Jesus H Chr*st!
1) if you don't have health you have zero - get the tests - get the stress echo with contrast - without contrast you lose about 8% of predicative value
2) get a massage for the stress instead of meds
3) passenger compartment of that car is exceptional - look at it closely - no intrusion whatsover - looks like new. amazing.

The poor guy takes some pretty heavy meds, I don't think a massage is going to cut it. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...5&postcount=24

To the OP: now that it sounds like you're okay, I can say I'm sorry that you lost your car.

That's good that no one was hurt.

However, if you knew you have side effects coming off of meds then you should not of been driving. What if that pole was someones wife, husband or even a child.....? I'm glad your okay but people must be more responsible getting behind a wheel.

Congrats on you living!

Yeah I am amazed that it stood up well in your (personal) crash test. Now you have proof for the non-believers.

Now I see why BMW tend to be a lil heavier than we would like. There engineer saves lives.. There crash impact record speaks for themselves... Amazing cabin protection... The inside compartment looks brand new..
