540i Exhaust Box

Anyone know what the inside of the stock 540i exhaust box looks like?

Curious if there's any "mod" that could be done similar to the "PE MOD" that was done for e92 335's where they opened up the box, cut out the resonated pipe and replaced it with a straight pipe to increase the sound.

Feel like a regular muffler delete would be too loud IMO and not looking to spend $2k++ on a exhaust.

Any info would be appreciated and if anyone got a stock exhaust for sale in/near NY, let me know!

Yes & No. Thank you. He's in the UK i believe and not sure what PCW does to the exhaust as he doesnt share his secret lol.

Is there any update on this ? Has anyone tried to modify it. I was woundering if it can be made so the car is just as silent or just slightly louder on comfort and a lot louder on sport when the exhaust flap opens.

I didnt go the route of modifying the muffler.
I ended up doing a resonator delete and pretty happy with it.
