I am starting to second guess whether the Dinan quad 2X 4" tips will fit my diffuser. Anyone have this diffuser with Dinan tips? I'd love to see what setup you have regardless. Thanks, going to measure carefully when I get home.

I’ve been on a search for a diffuser that will fit my Remus tips as well. So far I think this is one option that will fit, as it’s the same diffuser opening as OEM except it has the m perf bottom piece stuck on. Since I know the tips fit with the OEM diffuser this should fit too.

I actually confirmed it will fit with another member here who has the same diffuser and Dinan axle back.

I estimate that the quad tips need 8.5" wide and a little over 4" high. The stock trapezoid tips are 8.5 X 3.5 and I have plenty of room around the diffuser cutouts, probably another inch all around.

Swap out the diffuser for the m5 style. Looks much more aggressive

Yeah I purposely chose this style because I didn't want too aggressive. I like the M5 diffuser on an M5, just wanted a little more conservative for an M550. One of the reasons I also didn't opt for the Pro spoiler. CS is a little more subtle.

And if there's one out there with 9" + width to accommodate 4" tips I'd love to know which one as I've been looking. The one I just sold in the classified I can confirm does not fit, and based on me searching all of them have the same width cut out.

Purchased this rear diffuser w/ 9.25" opening at each side to accommodate dual 4" Remus exhaust quad tips from eBay last year.

It will fit. I almost bought a M550i with Dinan exhaust and this diffuser 2 years ago in Chicago.

You have pics? I have carbon fiber/titanium tips on my cat back, even though they’re 4”, because the M5 style diffusers outer edge slants, my tips will not fit. Although this one is 9.25 on the bottom, it’s about 8” in the middle. Also I believe the carbon/titanium tips are the thickest out of all the Remus options.

I think the inner tip is the tightest where it's going to hit it sit on the bottom lip of the diffuser. I'm fine with that. Better the bottom than top.

Hey Joe, this thread is exactly what I've been looking for

I recenty had the Remus system fitted to my 540i. It states that you need the 550i diffuser to accommodate the 4" quad tips. I went to BMW bought the "normal diffuser" and had it wrapped in gloss black. Looking at it on the car, it looks too plain for my liking. I then found that there was an M Performance 550i one. I've seen BMW sell the top piece in matt black and then the bottom piece in Carbon.

The Dinan tips look to be the same size as the Remus ones.

Do you have a link to where you got yours from, please? It looks like it's all in gloss black too.

I've seen this one but will need to have it sprayed in gloss black...

Here you go. Looks like it's out of stock but I know the seller gets them in and then sells out. I'm very happy with it. As you know there aren't many diffusers that fit our size tips. I'm not a fan of the MP bottom piece. It's just looks like it's added on and then your left with something to do with the stock diffuser. Most people wrap it, but I'm telling you what you already know. Your system looks great! This diffuser will look great with it.
