I love tanzanite as well. A very gorgeous dark deep blue!

Awesome color! Rear screens look much nicer and take less space than the non-lci. I would take rubber mats for the winter though.

Yes, to my surprise, the screens are very nice and very discrete/flat, they don't take too much space. On the downside, there is no "remote" anymore in the central armrest in the back to control the RSE screens, you can use the screen ONLY through the touch screens in the new version. I was quite (negatively) surprise myself honestly, hate touch screens / fingerprints.

For the mats, I want to take them for sure, both for the trunk and for the front/back seats. Are them good quality?

Do they? They look just like mine from 2018… the only difference I notice in the rear is the addition of usb-c ports.

I hear that but you might find it a blessing in disguise. The remote is annoying to use, especially for people that haven’t before (for them it’s nearly impossible) Touch is likely much easier, though it comes with the mess.

In relation to the RSE… it is now possible to display in the front screen what is seen in the back screen! After a quick coding with BimmerCode + OBDLink CX adapter from my iPhone to code video in motion, I was able to watch a blu-ray concert in sync on all 3 screens while driving!

My understanding was that previous RSE only had the TV as the only option available to be visualized on all 3 screens. This is a wonderful change!

It was amazing and my 3 kids loved it!

That’s great news. I know the LCI x5 & x7 have it work but heard that 5er doesn’t, which didn’t make sense. Yes, non LCI does not let one show the same video on all 3 screens.

Doesn’t this 90% solve your use case? Even more so… I think an android tablet would get you everything. Effectively 4 screens…

It could but probably not.

For now I was able to confirm only Blu-ray/DVD is possible on all 3 screens. I didn’t confirm yet usb video or hdmi port. I need to test it. But yeah it could.

EDIT: I just tried and… it works also with HDMI!

You can do iOS screen sharing and watch Netflix or whatever on all 3 screens in sync through HDMI in the back! Which is wonderful news!

I guess also USB video will work but have yet to try it…

I'm getting ready to order one (Michigan). The Parking Assistant Plus is still not offered for the 530e xDrive. I looked at a 540i xDrive and it's not offered for that vehicle either. Was kind of disappointed at this.
It is offered on the 330e xDrive as well as on the 7-series.

Yeah it sucks. It’s by far the optional I miss the most. The other one is the sweet B58, but unfortunately, no G31 545e!
