Yeah, right after I saw the status flip I called BMW Genius. They were the ones that told me it's on the "Orion Highway".

The ship is due into port on the 14th, but seems like it might be having some sort of issue. It's stuck off the coast of England right now. Bunch of us with cars on the ship are chatting about it on the M3/M4 forums:

Yeah, I think that's part of the Exec Package. Only option I didn't have was the space-saver spare. I was almost certain something would be missing in one of the options. My car might get stuck at the port on the US side, but keeping fingers crossed it makes it through.

The ship it's on is having some weird stop and go issues. So we'll see how much that's going to delay things.

You may be right: I did order the space-saver spare. And with this option, I can imagine that delay can result from something completely silly like a missing jack!

Sure, the first post in this thread has all my options listed. It's basically all available options except space-saver spare.

From your user details, I'm guessing you're waiting on a 530e. Which I think most likely has quite a few different parts that aren't on an M550i. So my guess is that it might be one of the parts specific to the 530e. But nobody can tell for sure unless they let you know.

Sorry to hear bro. Mine should be at the Baltimore port tonight and then should be in Brunswick by the 8th. I have been hearing alot of people with 530e having the issue of missing parts. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.

My car has been sitting at the factory for three weeks (build week 41). It looks like the only option that I ordered that Greywall did not (his is also week 41) is the space-saver spare. I think this could easily be the culprit: for example, waiting for a missing jack being produced somewhere in China.

It's now coming across the Atlantic! It had been going down the European coast before heading west. My guess is they try and keep close to land, this path takes the ship by the Azores and Bermuda.

Welp, the good news is it has made it across the Atlantic and is now in the Chesapeake bay. The not so good news is there's congestion at Baltimore and it's now anchored in the bay waiting for a dock to free up:

Yes, it has been almost a month now. Your and my cars had moved pretty much in sync until reaching the "awaiting carrier assignment" stage.

I do not have any idea about the reason for this delay. My dealer has checked to make sure that there are no recalls on my car, and now says they cannot do anything at all to speed up shipping.

ports are backed up due to lack of resources. They are already saying cars will be delayed for the next 3 months... unfortunately might be luck/random

So I've been tracking my ship across the Atlantic and things have been going well until 1.5 days ago, where the ship seems to be just floating in the Gulf of Mexico about 470 miles from the Galveston port. Super weird. If the port is backed up I would think you would wait closer to port. As of like 5 minutes ago it's making progress again. While sitting there is drifted almost 42 miles south. Kind of crazy. You can see the line where it just sat drifting with the current south.

Anybody have any insight on this behaviour? It also pushed it's ETA to the port back a day. Was scheduled to be at port on the 17th, is now saying the 18th.

The same thing happened with my ship. There was congestion at port so it anchored at a holding point for the night. Should hopefully clear up soon!
