Not to be the bad news bringer.😂

But don't get too excited. Mine was unloaded from the Orion Highway at Sparrows Point (Baltimore) on 12/22 and immediately hit a stop sale for the RAM.

Basically keep your fingers crossed on thinking that getting it stateside is the second to last hurdle.

It's been just sitting there cooling it's jets now with no movement at all for over 3 weeks. Genius says a work order to "get it done" was cut on the 30th.. But I'm still just waiting. No info whatsoever. 😐

I have a nice lady from BMW who calls me with updates. I knew the boat it would be on 2 days before it was loaded. Hopefully she’ll ride them like rented mules to keep it moving. 😂🤣

My car has arrived at the Port of Baltimore! The port is just 40 miles from my home, so I am now trying hard to convince myself not to go there to pick it up!

Haha, that's the hardest part. I wanted to just drive over and see if I could look at it from outside the port. Just about there now!

we ordered later and received our 530e earlier than you (in Virginia, so not much difference in total distance from the Dingolfing factory). we’ve been fortunate the timeline has been the same for the last five 5-series we’ve ordered since 2009.

Absolutely gorgeous. I took mine on the highway in rush hour for the first time today and it was an absolute dream to drive. The driver assist pro package was definitely worth it. I’m also loving the car play integration. I’ve got 500 miles under my belt in a week and I’m absolutely elated with the car.

I have not seen the car in person yet -- that was the dealer's photo. I am planning delivery for Tuesday. I am very excited and cannot wait for that moment! But I am also sad because I am now saying goodbye to this beauty, which served me well for the last seven years.

I find it interesting how certain options are available only on certain variants across different models. for instance: the cerium trim is optional on your M550i (no other 5 series variants can get it) just as it is on the X5 M50i (no other X5 variants can get it)

I do not know what cerium trim is, but you are right: I know that in all 5-series parking assistance package is only available on M550i.

cerium is the color of your side view mirrors and front grille. it’s like a patina brushed nickel, not the chrome on xLine variants

hmmm I don’t think you understood my point, though. for the X5, the Parking Assistance package is available for all variants. regarding cerium, it is only optional on your M550i just like it’s only optional on the X5 M50i which means each of these models are the same ‘level’ vehicle within their respective model lines.

Aww man, another former A6 owner. Also had a sad goodbye selling mine, it had Stage 2 tune + pulley, RS7 intake, S6 wheels and S6 suspension. Here's how it looked before adding the lowered suspension:

Yeah, we can start a club of former Audi owners who have switched to BMW.

My Audi is an S6, though; it has APR Stage 1 ECU tune, Eurocode drivetrain stabilizer and sway bars. With the tune, the power is about 550 horsepower and the torque is around 600 foot-pounds, so I do not expect that the stock M550i would be faster, but am looking forward to the new experience nonetheless!

That's awesome! Love the C7 S6, wanted so badly to get the next one. But alas, Audi decided to forgo the v8 for a mild hybrid V6. Started looking at M550i mainly because I'd have to buy used 2018 or older to get a V8. Also didn't want a full RS car, especially one in wagon format.

I'm down for former Audi owners with M550i club, sign me up! (need a better name tho)

I looked at a 2019-2020 Audi A6 when I sold my E90. Man, I could not get passed the whole touchscreen crap. Literally, everything was touch-screen in that thing. From the headlight control to changing the climate control temperature.

I took a hard pass on the A6. Glad I went with the 540.

Exactly! Besides the engine, everything touchscreen really turned me off from the new redesigned Audi's. Hate the fact that everyone's heading that way... because Tesla. Also, cheaper production.
