What do you expect the functionality does?

My car "suggests" the new speed, when I touch the dial on the steering wheel it adapts to the suggested speed.
Do you expect it to-do that automatically? Or is it that I described you try to get working?

Is this already fitted to the car and you are seeing there other options I official options avail via the coding route or are you trying to code this as it was not an option specified at build time?
Previous post describes what it does, you can choose to use it or not by specifying in idrive

I am looking to enable the functionality as all the necessary hardware is on the vehicle. This is a 5AT fully loaded 5er.

Auto SLA sets the cruise to the correct speed limit automatically. Not sure if it's available on G30, but it is on the Idrive v7 of the G05, but only in specific regions unless coded.

Manual SLA is available on the G30 but I've not looked into coding that on a 5 series.

Manual speed limit assist is what I am trying to get working.

Did you get it to work? Every thread I find about SLA or aSLA seems to be for an LCI G30. Mine is a 2018 and I don't know what to code. The newer cars mention an SAS module which I do not have. Although I have everything else, for level 2 autonomy. 5AT + 5DN

Here, almost everyone drives over the speed limit and the photo radar only kicks in at 10 mph over the speed limit. The feature would only be useful to me if i were able to set the amount over/under. In my case that would be 9 miles over.

I do wish that the colors didn't change when I went over the speed limit. A little annoying but I have gotten used to it.

What colors change when you go over the speed limit?

In the HUD if you exceed the speed limit by 1mph or more, the speed displayed changes from white to red.

I think you can turn on this feature in idrive if I recollect correctly.

Yeah that's what I thought they were referring to but that's easily changed in iDrive no coding required.

What other codes did you change? Everyone keeps saying ID7 is required, but you're running ID6, so I'm trying to copy you. If you help me get that screen, I'll help you get the rest to work.

I have activated this function on my G30 with iD6 and with 5AS. But auto activation is not working. HUD and cluster suggest you to update speed limit and you need to push the button on the wheel to update the speed. Check my topic for details: https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1702052

Additionally, auto update or suggestion to update the cruise control speed doesn't work. At least I couldn't activate it no matter how many codes I have tried.

Where in Idrive? I have looked and not seen it. I want to see the speed limit but I want it to stay the same color and I will adjust my speed as necessary. I don't need a red sign blasting at me when I drive the same speed as everyone else.

Are there clear instructions for getting speed limit assist working on ID6 pre-lci g30? I'm happy to code it, but I don't want to experiment with different settings if it won't work.

Has anyone been able to code Manual speed limit assist yet on G30 pre-LCI?
