Sway Bar Options
I'm picking up my 540i w/ M Sports Package this week and wondering does anyone make front or rear bar that's bigger than OEM.
I've autocrossed for 15 years and have always found bars fantastic in tuning/ tightening steering input. Thanks! |

I am contemplating sway bars, but I still have a warranty on the car... So not sure if it will not void it. I found a whole array of products from Hardrace - https://www.hardrace.com/ - swaybars, camber kits, braces, etc.

I've got the front and rear sway bars with the mounts and drop links of a standard M5 coming later in the month and cannot wait to see the difference in dynamics. I am on standard "sport line" suspension, I enjoy the comfort but miss the cornering ability. |

thx
no time before in 2 weeks - I had to postpone as the new intercooler only came Friday. The suspension is Full M with dynamic dampers and 35mm H&R springs. It is very comfortable for daily driving, but I'm missing some 'sharpness' when cornering, so I have high hopes for the Hardrace parts. Quote:

Just booked my time with the mechanics today for next Thursday and the delivery date for both sways is next Monday, so I cannot wait for the day after to check how it improves the handling. I will keep you posted on the progress.
Briefly talked with the guys on suspension options for our roads and they said a full set of coilovers - kw v3, anything else will not work. |

Pretty busy mate. A lot of travel around Europe and in BG. So the date is changed to 4th April, fingers crossed it will get done so I can test and share it all.

I got mine fitted today. There is much less body roll in the corners. Keep in mind I did only a 30min drive after getting the car - it started snowing and people got out after work, so yes. Just a quick drive. My car is with standard suspension, so it is still comfortable in the straights and tighter in the bends. For 500eur ($550)-ish for both bars (used F90) and fitting, it makes a big difference in my opinion. I have a 500-1000km next week and will get back with more details. So far so good. My next options, if needed, will be to try the springs or change the whole package with the KW V4. Time will tell. If anyone is on the fence, go for it. |
